Who Are We? Founded in 1994, (Seattle) Super Supplements is a non-franchise, privately owned successful chain of discount vitamin stores which features quality name brands. Company founder, John Wurts, opened his first store with the vision of enormous selections of name brand supplements at substantially discounted prices. In addition to some of the best prices in the industry, Super Supplements also prides itself on having some of the most knowledgeable and passionate staff members in the industry. John carries with him nearly 20 years of experience in the vitamin supplement industry and has a passion for supplements, nutrition and sports alike. In late 2003 Seattle Super Supplements shortened its name to SuperSupplements and went on to open 5 new stores during 2004. The year came to a close with Super Supplements being awarded Vitamin Retailer Magazine's "Best Independent Chain" in the nation. In 2005 Super Supplements opened stores in Everett, Puyallup and its first store east of the Cascades in Spokane Valley. The momentum continued in 2006 with a 2nd store open in the Spokane area and stores in West Seattle, Federal Way, Elliott Ave (Seattle), Bremerton and Kennewick being launched. Super Supplements recently opened its newest stores in Tacoma and in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Prices & Selection - The new stores, like our other locations will feature some of the most extensive selections of vitamins, herbs, homeopathics, body care items and sports nutrition supplements anywhere, all while offering them at 10 to 70% off MSRP! In fact, company-wide there are well over 30,000 individual products available! And, one of the reasons Super Supplements is able to offer such low prices is because our increasing number of store locations allows us more buying power through our distributors. This enables us to pass on substantial savings to you, our customers. We feel so strongly about this that we are willing to beat any other local retailer's everyday prices by 5%!* You will find that our everyday prices are almost always lower than our competition both on a local and a national level. Furthermore, we constantly offer additional savings in the form of our Super Specials and Line Drives which rotate on a bi-monthly basis!

People, Passion, Knowledge & Service - At Super Supplements, people, passion, knowledge and service are paramount. We seek individuals who are passionate about health, fitness, nutrition and/or supplements and we recognize that our people and their experiences are central to our mission. In addition, we understand that diversity in knowledge is essential which is why you will find people throughout our company with backgrounds in naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, herbology, personal fitness training and many who have attended and graduated Bastyr University. Our sales associates are available and eager to assist customers in finding the best possible products for their needs. Loyal customers are our lifeblood.

Unlike many traditional retail environments, Super Supplements does not pay its sales associates on a commission basis nor do we require our employees to 'push' specific lines, products or private label items. We believe that the integrity of the relationship with our customers is paramount!

Our stores frequently host product demonstrations which allow customers to learn more about our products directly from the vendor representatives. In our internal quest for knowledge, we frequently attend trainings, tradeshows and travel coast-to-coast to further educate ourselves about new cutting-edge products and philosophies allowing us to better inform our customers with the most up-to-date and accurate product information.

In addition to our personalized service, each of our stores feature a Healthnotes touch-screen kiosk. Healthnotes is a user friendly software application which provides useful, printable information on a variety of natural remedies, diets, ailments and even offers information on possible drug interactions with vitamins, herbs, and foods. Its content is written and referenced by many of the world's leading authorities in vitamins, supplements, herbs, nutrition, etc... and is supported entirely by the latest scientific research.
